I write and run larps, do tons of "behind the scenes" work that only shows when it doesn't happen, and occasionally run Intercons. In my spare time (hah!), I relax and pursue an hedonistic lifestyle with my husband in our decaying Edwardian manse. Oh, and I may have a slight, teensy, tiny interest in Thelema. Maybe.
For there is no other way into the Supernal mystery but through her and the Beast on which she rideth.

I only believe in fire. Life. Fire. Being myself on fire I set others on fire. Never death. Fire and life. Les Jeux.

Razors pain you.
Rivers are damp.
Acids stain you,
And drugs cause cramp.
Guns aren't lawful.
Nooses give.
Gas smells awful.
You might as well live.

Scones
Ingredients
* 2 cups plus 1 tablespoon flour
* 1 tablespoon baking powder
* 1/2 teaspoon salt
* 8 tablespoons COLD unsalted butter or margarine, cut up
* 1/4-1/3 cup sugar (to taste)
* 1 cup cold milk
Preheat oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit. Stir baking powder and salt into flour. Rub in butter (you can use a pastry cutter if you prefer, but I find it works much better if you use your hands). Toss in sugar. Stir in milk. Remove dough from bowl and knead on floured surface 6-10 times. Roll out until 1/4" thick. Cut into shapes. I tend to use a cookie cutter, but you can also pat the dough into rounds about 1/4" thick, and then divide into pie-wedge shapes. Place on cookie sheet and bake 10-15 minutes, until golden brown.
Variations on this Recipe
* Lemon Scones - add 1 tablespoon lemon peel to sugar, and brush scone tops with lemon juice and sugar before baking
* Vanilla Scones - add 1 teaspoon vanilla extract to milk
* Spice Scones - add 1 tablespoon allspice to sugar
* Oatmeal Scones - substitute 1/2 cup oat flour for 1/2 cup of the flour
* Rosewater Scones - add 1 tablespoon rosewater to milk
* Orange Scones - same as lemon scones, except with an orange.
* You can improvise other variations. Have fun!
